1. Who we are
This website (fleetlix.app) is operated by CN-DESIGN LTD, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC885094, with its registered office at Office 1, Technology House, 9 Newton Place, Glasgow, Scotland, G3 7PR. Fleetlix is a product of CN-DESIGN LTD.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, CN-DESIGN LTD is the data controller in respect of personal information collected through this website.
Our Data Protection Contact is Christopher Nicholson. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights set out below, email chris@cn-design.co.uk. General business enquiries continue to go to contact@fleetlix.app.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the fleetlix.app marketing website. The forthcoming Fleetlix operations application — covering driver, yard, office, and maintenance workflows for our customers — will be governed by a separate privacy notice and a data-processing agreement with each customer.
3. What information we collect
The marketing site is a static website with no sign-up, no account system, and no analytics or tracking installed. We collect:
- Information you send us by email. If you contact us at contact@fleetlix.app, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes routine technical information when your browser requests the site — including your IP address, the URL requested, browser user-agent, and timestamp — for the purposes of delivering the site, protecting it from abuse, and producing aggregate performance metrics. These logs are held by Cloudflare under their terms and retained for short periods.
- Strictly necessary cookies. Cloudflare may set a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary for security and bot management. See our Cookies Policy for details.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising tags, social-media pixels, heatmaps, or any other marketing or behavioural-tracking technology on this website.
4. How and why we use information
- To respond to enquiries you send us by email.
- To follow up about pilot opportunities, product demos, or commercial discussions you have initiated with us.
- To operate and secure the website and prevent abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations (for example, retaining business correspondence for accounting purposes).
5. Legal bases for processing
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries you have sent us, to operate the website, and to keep it secure. We have considered your rights and freedoms and consider these interests to be balanced and unsurprising.
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in (for example, if you ask to be added to a mailing list). You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain records for tax, accounting, or other statutory purposes.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only with trusted processors who help us operate the business:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, and security for the website (acting as a data processor on our behalf).
- Email provider — the provider that hosts the
contact@fleetlix.appinbox processes correspondence on our behalf so we can read and reply. - Professional advisers — accountants and legal advisers where strictly necessary.
- Law-enforcement or regulatory bodies — where we are required to disclose information by law.
7. International transfers
Cloudflare operates a global content-delivery and security network. As a result, technical information about your visit (such as your IP address) may be processed at Cloudflare points of presence outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Cloudflare relies on UK and EU standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for those transfers. You can read Cloudflare's privacy practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
8. How long we keep information
- Email correspondence — retained for as long as the commercial relationship or enquiry is active, and for up to six years thereafter in line with UK accounting record-keeping requirements.
- Server logs — retained by Cloudflare for short periods under their own retention schedule.
- Strictly necessary cookies — expire automatically; see our Cookies Policy.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (right of access).
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information (right to rectification).
- Ask us to delete information we hold about you, in certain circumstances (right to erasure).
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information, in certain circumstances.
- Object to our processing where we are relying on legitimate interests.
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis.
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing — we do not carry out any such processing on the marketing site.
To exercise any of these rights, email our Data Protection Contact at chris@cn-design.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material we will say so at the top of the page. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
